[DON'T TRY TO BITE THE PINEAPPLE TENKA?! Kaoru will watch with that same amusement, busy with organizing cups and bowls and measuring things out and having faith that the pineapple won't mysteriously vanish in the meantime.]

The fruit is on the inside. You don't eat the outer part, since it's like the rind on a melon. [Like Tenka could probably eat it if he really set his mind on it and Kaoru wouldn't stop him if he really wanted to try, but please no.

Mm, this works well. [And then picking up the pineapple that Tenka sat down earlier! After twisting the green top off and setting it to the side, the top and bottom will be cut off. Kaoru proceeds to slice the skin away from the pineapple with GREAT FINESSE, clearly because of all that... practice in the kitchen with kitchen knives... to do kitchen-y things.....

AFTER THAT, a slice will be cut from the top, which Kaoru will then cut a sliver from and hold out toward Tenka.]

[And despite everything, that's where Tenka pauses entirely. His line of questioning stops as his blood runs cold in his veins. There's a look of surprise on his face that he doesn't bother to hide even as he asks-]

[TENKA. Care more about propriety!! It's a good thing Kaoru doesn't care about it either, or there might be some embarrassment happening in this kitchen... Instead, there's just a light and chiming laugh that Kaoru doesn't bother politely covering this time.]

How is it? I was told that these pineapples are very sweet, but some can be tart. Even the sweet ones have a bite sometimes.

[While talking, Kaoru's attention turns back to the pineapple to continue slicin and dicin like a true kitchen pro. All those years of stabbing fruits sure has come in handy!]

[The topic of killing roll off her tongue like it was nothing, it wasn't because she enjoyed it, but she was used to it at this point. However, she can tell the surprise in Tenka's voice. Head tiling to the side she soon nods to confirm his question.]

[She said it like that was the big answer though she does continue.]

[It's evening, and probably a peaceful one, but hopefully not too peaceful because then Sousei is slamming into the apartment with quite a bit more force than usual. Especially considering how calm he is usually......

He drops the uneaten lunch in the kitchen, turns on his heel, and clearly intends to leave again--

And has not noticed even if anyone else is in the living room or kitchen area. Wow, he's really out of it, isn't he.]

[It was probably average amounts of peaceful and Tenka was turning already at the sound of slamming, pausing in his fridge rummaging as he was looking for a snack until Soramaru made dinner. Then his gaze zeroes in on that uneaten lunch and without much hesitation at all, he's moving to catch right up to Sousei and throw an arm around his shoulders.

And dragging him in the direction of the fridge.]

[The fact that Sousei is clearly pissed off beyond belief doesn't escape him but he'll just wait for Sousei to tell him at this point.]

He was intending to leave, and go for a walk, or do something that would clear his head. Instead, he's being dragged towards the kitchen by his partner.

And yeah, he's pissed, but momentarily, he's just confused.]

Looking for a snack because I'm hungry and Soramaru's not home yet. But you haven't had lunch so now we need two snacks.

So now he's wandering back to their open fridge, still with one arm slung around Sousei and keeping him from leaving. The other hand is reaching in and pushing whatever actual ingredients they have (because they have a chef now, bless) and looking for dumb things that Tenka inevitably bought before Soramaru showed up.

It's with that that he manages to find.... dino nuggets.... what are dinos and what are nuggets, he's not sure.

Either way he's going to shove that into Sousei's hands now.]

[It's a little concerning how easily that all flows off the tongue for Tenka, but whatever. Going to keep rummaging through and he finds a mini pizza? Tenka's had pizza and he liked it so he bought the mini build your own kind. Time to get creative!

So it's with their snacks decided that he kicks the door to the fridge closed and hauls Sousei over to their counter.]
