Either way, he's opening the door now and... honestly brightening up rather obviously at the sight of Kaoru. Then he's already stepping aside so that there's space to enter even as he offers a greeting.]

[It's evening, and probably a peaceful one, but hopefully not too peaceful because then Sousei is slamming into the apartment with quite a bit more force than usual. Especially considering how calm he is usually......

He is not calm at all now.

He drops the uneaten lunch in the kitchen, turns on his heel, and clearly intends to leave again--

And has not noticed even if anyone else is in the living room or kitchen area. Wow, he's really out of it, isn't he.]

[It was probably average amounts of peaceful and Tenka was turning already at the sound of slamming, pausing in his fridge rummaging as he was looking for a snack until Soramaru made dinner. Then his gaze zeroes in on that uneaten lunch and without much hesitation at all, he's moving to catch right up to Sousei and throw an arm around his shoulders.

And dragging him in the direction of the fridge.]

I see. So you make an effort to stay a twig.

[The fact that Sousei is clearly pissed off beyond belief doesn't escape him but he'll just wait for Sousei to tell him at this point.]

[The text comes out of the blue. They'd got into that place together to see what the fuss was about, as they tended to. Sousei was pretty sure that there would be nothing left uninspected by them at...some point...

But regardless, it was mostly boring. The games were uninteresting, the tarot weird. Things he knew little about, things he had no interest in.

And then he starts feeling a little strange. It's just a niggling urge, the odd feeling that........he hasn't seen Tenka in awhile, has he?

(It's probably been a few hours since he's seen Tenka; that's forgivable).]

[Today is worse. Today... today he doesn't feel as though Tenka should be leaving his sight at all. The morning was okay, and he was feeling decent at lunchtime--but that's when he ditches work, heading on home because work's not as important as making sure Tenka and Soramaru and--

Making sure they haven't left--him.

Which is why Tenka is probably getting the familiar text today, too, in the afternoon:]

[There's nothing to be done for it now, really--it's a little too late for Sousei. It's full-grown paranoia, now...compounding on abandonment issues that he had always been careful not to make into issues, and yet here he is, and it feels as if there could be nothing worse than Tenka leaving him.

Tenka talking to other people.

What if they took him away?

What if they stole him? What if Tenka went with them, and didn't come back?

He couldn't let that happen, but the fact that he can't find Tenka at this moment is enough to make him panic.]

The text confuses Tenka for a moment for one key reason: no one should know how much Shirasu means to him except Sousei and Soramaru.

Regardless, he answers the only way he possibly can.]

[He'll put aside his weird feeling about this for the time being - at least until Shirasu's back in his care.]

[ Shirasu probably should have called immediately after returning to himself; after the all-consuming urge to obey any and all orders left him.

But... he hadn't. He could explain away the first few hours by... grudgingly acknowledging the fact he'd been sort of stunned by some of the orders he obeyed. Some had been downright degrading, some just well beyond what he would consider doing. He'd been angry, and then frustrated and exasperated -- it had taken a little while to get through those to where he could look with a more reasonable eye on the whole thing.

As midnight slid into dawn, Shirasu still hadn't contacted Tenka, Shirasu had to admit to being afraid. His promise had not specifically extended to Kagemitsu, but knowing Tenka, Tenka thought of the man as family.

Shirasu doesn't really know or understand what he wants from Tenka (or what Tenka wants from him), but he knows he doesn't want to lose the chance to find out.

So, around eight in the morning, Tenka's device rings. ]

[It's eight in the morning and Tenka picks up on the second ring.

Perhaps that's a fair enough indicator of how poorly he had been sleeping - there had been far too much going in the past 3 days that made it hard on him. So he picks up early, even though his voice is groggy and he's clearly still tired. Tired but aware and that's enough for him to know that Shirasu calling him is a pretty important sign.]

Shirasu?

[He yawns and rubs at his eye, a fair enough pause.]

You're not going to call me 'master' again, are you?

[ It's been hovering over her for awhile now, a painful prickling at the back of her eyes whenever Tenka calls her family. She should tell him. People have accepted her here, the one's she told, more than she ever expected, but there's always the chance that telling the truth might just ruin everything.

But the thought remains on Mary's mind, and after she shivers awake from a nightmare - everyone dead at her feet, a low mocking voice and laughter that made her want to shove her hands into her ears until everything stopped - she calls Tenka before she has the chance to change her mind. It's fairly late. ]

[It's late and Mary had already called to say goodnight. So when Tenka blinks awake at the ringing of his phone, he immediately sits up and answers when he notices the Caller ID.

Just like when Chuutarou suddenly came into his room in the middle of the night, he's immediately cooing without even knowing what's wrong.]

Mary-chan? Mary-chan, Aniki's here. What's wrong?

[Tenka opens the door for literally everyone who comes in, even if they're a bloodied and battered ninja......... but this time when he opens the door to Kaoru and sunflowers, it's a much better alternative!!

[ The dream he had seen this night had been very upsetting. He wanted to believe it was just that - a dream - but it had felt too real, and too filled of emotions. Most of all there had been so much pain. He couldn't overlook it, and he couldn't forgive those who hurt his family. But he also needed to talk to Tenka. For one, it wouldn't be right to not tell him that he saw something like that...

After he has managed to calm down somewhat - because he was talking to Poko about it and there had been an unusual amount of swearing involved - he calls. He doesn't trust himself with texting on a good day, and this is definitely not a good day, so calling it is. ]

Tenka? Are you free for a while?

[ ......good morning, descendant. ]

[Well, he was more or less expecting that call. Tenka's own morning was spent discussing the rough night with Sousei and now he's left shaking his head fondly when he gets Kagemitsu's call. At least he can't be seen with the moderately sad expression on his face. There are a lot of fun memories that make up Tenka's life.... but there are very sad ones too.

He can only hope that Kagemitsu got lucky.]
